Mark Michael Baseball School would like to congratulate Jack Sams on an outstanding freshman season as a pitcher at the University of Kentucky.
Jack, a Lexington native and former Lexington Catholic standout, made a strong impression in his first year with the Wildcats. As a freshman right-handed pitcher, he appeared in 10 games, posted a 2–0 record, and finished with a 2.16 ERA over 16.2 innings pitched. He also recorded 20 strikeouts, showing the poise, competitiveness, and work ethic it takes to contribute at the college level.
Jack’s baseball journey has been exciting to follow, from his high school career at Lexington Catholic to earning the opportunity to pitch for the University of Kentucky. Before arriving at UK, he was named 11th Region Pitcher of the Year in 2025, earned Second Team All-State honors, and was recognized as one of the top players in Kentucky by Perfect Game and Prep Baseball Report.
Jack has also been a student at Mark Michael Baseball School, where he has received pitching instruction from Mark. It has been a pleasure to watch his continued growth and success on the mound.
Congratulations, Jack, on a great freshman season at Kentucky.
